n his attempt to beat the world record of 2,023 miles in 24 hours, Carl Reese fried his entire stock of two front and four rear tires, and had to stop with more than an hour remaining. So he only smashed the record by 93 miles, before sleeping 4 hours and driving 17 hours home. Madman.
