What is normal or standard may guide you, but what is indicated in the owners' manual and on the vehicle warranty card from the manufacturer is most important. The SHOWA front forks on the ZERO FXS are very high quality, but in the event of an accident there is certainly the possibility that the front fork seals may leak. I believe the FXS you reference was in an accident.
