בטיול האחרון בארה"ב רכשתי לי קסדת שואי ניאוטק חדשה.
לצערי ישנה בעייה עם המשקף שנשלף בקצב רכיבה גבוה פניתי לשואי וזו התכתובת:
Comment: Dear Sirs.
I write you with this letter with great supprise. As I have been a Shoei man for over 20 years
About three month ag I bought the new Neotec II model in the Revzilla in Philadelphia during a visit to the US. It was supposed to be my best helmet ever.
However. During one of my trips, the right side of the visor got unhooked. I stopped. Put it back and rode on. And again it dropped. I tried my other visor and it happened again.
I must say this is very upsetting as the helmet was purchased by me, not only because of promised superior quality and safety (not to mention the price that was payed for a premium product), but because it's supposed to be superior. And it's not. Ir seems the piece holding the visor is not doing it's job. Your importer to Israel sent me back to the store in the US. And the experience is not a pleaseant one. It seems no one takes responsibility for an 800$ (plus) helmet and I am left holding the bag.
Will you rise up to the occation?
Please let me
know how to proceed.
I await your response
Best wishes

Hi loki,
I am sorry to hear about your issue and this is one of the primary reasons we do not recommend buying helmets from countries other than where you live. The construction is different and so are the certifications which means in many cases they can't be worked on by technicians in countries other than where they are supposed to be. We only handle North America so we cannot assist in Israel but if the helmet is from here and you have friends or family in the US you could send it to them and have them send it to us to take a look at for you. Once done we could return it to them at an address in the US or Canada.

Hi Don!Thank you for your prompt reply.
However, at no time in the store or when paying (when it was perfectly clear that I am a tourist) was your said recommendation hinted to. Let alone stated.Second, your helmets adhere to both EU and DOT standards... And it is the visor. So I francly fail to see why the local dealer refused service. I guess the title of sole representative to your company only regards their profits for helmets sold, and not the rep of said helmets. FYI, they even refused to take a look and sent us your way. Is that the standard of service I should expect as your customer? Still... It is an 800 dollar piece of equipment, and I will give you the heads up as it will be shipped to North America, but I still remain dissatisfied, disappointed, and I did expect a more "global" reach to retain a life long client as myself. Mistakes will always happen. Trying to make life easier for your client is the "extra mile" we all should strive for. Well. I am afraid Shoei gets an F for 2018.Will be in touch.
Best

hi loki
Your helmet is not both DOT and ECE and in fact the construction of the helmet is different between North America and Europe or those sold in Israel which is why they can't work on it there and we can't work on ECE helmets here. I was not party to your conversations with others so I can't speculate but we do state this on our website in the FAQ section. I have given you the only option I can think of for you with regard to repair since we do not make repair decisions for other countries here. You could also try to contact the factory in Japan as they may have another idea.
